Occupations is an ongoing series of photographic composites and installations on the complex histories and contentious territories that constitute Hong Kong. Drawing on the extensive personal archive assembled throughout a number of years, the works testify on the city’s ever changing landscapes, environments and climates. The series cast a subjective look on those spaces where the private and the public merge, where the distinction of the man-made and the natural environment collapse, where the personal and the political seem inextricably entwined, where a multiplicity of temporalities and perspectives emerge.

Presented on a 21-inch monitor, mounted on a low-lying frame, tilting it off the ground.

A short silent photographic animation, the video shows a "found object" during the Occupation of Hong Kong's Central district in October 2014. A book bearing the English title "Justice" with subscripts and references in Chinese, was left behind on the roadside of the main occupation site. A light breeze was turning its pages - a poetic summary of the stakes in the 3 month action in Hong Kong.
